San Guglielmo Montalcino
Toscana, ITALY
A dream that is still taking shape, and that has its roots in the history of this area, when grandfather Guglielmo, founding partner of the Brunello Consortium, passed on to my father the passion for the vineyard that a couple of decades ago came to me. On the western slope of Montalcino at about 430 meters above sea level, on land of marl and palombini, our small vineyard is surrounded by pure Mediterranean scrub, an indispensable partner for the climatic balance of the whole district. San Guglielmo is a family-run winery, and it couldn't be otherwise: this is our land, this is our vineyard and we want to personally follow all the stages of wine production, in the vineyard and in the cellar, up to bottling. We take care of the environmental aspect with the same attention, for sustainable production. We debuted on the market with Brunello DOCG 2016 and Rosso DOC 2019, for a total of eleven thousand bottles: two different vintages but both are characterized by precise peculiarities.
